Job summary

Dynamic Office & Accounting Solutions in Santa Fe Springs, CA seeks a Senior Staff Accountant- Construction to lead the day-to-day accounting for multiple construction projects. The role offers visibility with executive leadership, ownership of the close process, and a path to Controller as the company expands.

You will oversee GL, payroll, job costing, and project billing, ensuring accurate financials and compliance with prevailing wage requirements while driving process improvements and staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within the construction industry.
• Experience with union payroll and certified payroll reporting.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Own daily accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, payroll, project billing.
• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end closes with audit-ready reporting.
• Manage construction job costing and WIP reporting across multiple projects.
• Partner with project managers to monitor profitability, costs, and budget adherence.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and support working capital planning.
• Ensure compliance with union payroll, prevailing wage, and labor rules.
• Supervise accounting staff and mentor the department as it grows.
