Job summary

Blattner seeks a Site Safety Professional to independently manage site safety programs across active construction projects. You will work closely with the Manager I – Site Safety to implement initiatives aligning with project goals and company standards.

The ideal candidate brings field presence, works with minimal supervision, and proactively identifies and mitigates risks while supporting site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• Ability to relocate to project site.

Responsibilities

• Execute site safety programs independently with general supervision and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Apply and interpret HSE policies to identify and mitigate risks.
• Monitor jobsite activities and correct unsafe behaviors; escalate high-risk issues.
• Collaborate with Manager I – Site Safety to improve safety programs.
• Conduct incident and near-miss investigations; prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Lead site safety drills and assist emergency response planning.
• Advise site teams on hazard identification and prevention strategies.
• Manage safety observation programs including tracking and reporting trends.
• Partner with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to integrate safety into all construction phases.
• Support incident management processes (Drug & Alcohol Testing, Medical Treatment, Return-to-Work).
• Conduct audits and present findings with corrective actions to leadership.
• Oversee procurement, use, and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment.
• Deliver safety training to site personnel; include emergency response and equipment use.
• Maintain safety records and training documentation.
• Support execution of site safety communication plans.
