Job summary

Blattner Company is seeking a General Superintendent to champion Standard Work and lead teams across project sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will develop training for leadership, support site managers, and enforce company policies while coordinating with Quality, EHS, and construction leadership.

The role requires extensive travel, a four-year degree in construction management or engineering (or equivalent), and seven years leading construction teams.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in leading and supervising construction teams.
• Excellent communication and people skills across all organizational levels and clients.
• Understand applicable OSHA regulation for construction projects.
• Ability to train and develop Superintendents on Standard Work including methods, instructions, lessons learned, sequence and flow.
• Understand job costing, production labor hours, and reporting on related work.
• Lead groups of peers and/or subordinates; coordinate conversations, meetings and presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other analytical tools.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record; extensive travel with monthly remote work.

Responsibilities

• Enforce Standard Work, Work Methods, Work Instructions, and Lessons Learned on projects.
• Assess Blattner Energy culture and ensure Standard Work, Sequence, and Flow are followed.
• Collaborate with Quality to develop Standard Work documents.
• Assist in leadership development and recruitment processes.
• Coordinate with Site Manager, Project Manager, Trade Superintendent on progress, efficiency, and costs.
• Collaborate with EHS Managers on safety program compliance.
• Approve movement of supervisory personnel and equipment as applicable.
• Communicate solutions to current and potential project or resource issues.
