Job summary

Blattner Company, based in Minnesota, seeks a Manager I - Site Safety to lead safety professionals across large projects. You will plan, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective hazard prevention in the field.

You will direct investigations, mentor staff, and ensure safety data is analyzed to drive improvements. This role requires strong leadership, field experience, and excellent communication with crews and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or health.
• BCSP certification preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive construction safety experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
• Able to relocate to project site.
• Electrical safety, crane safety, and structural knowledge preferred.
• Strong oral, presentational, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data-driven safety improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Safety Professionals to plan, implement, and oversee safety initiatives across large projects.
• Direct application of HSE policies and procedures on site and monitor for unsafe behavior.
• Provide leadership in implementing advanced safety programs on multiple projects.
• Oversee incident investigations and advise leadership on complex safety challenges.
• Coach safety personnel, site teams, and subcontractors on hazard recognition and elimination.
