Mortenson seeks a Safety Engineer II to implement the Zero Injury Safety program at a project site in Salt Lake City. You will work with staff at all levels to maintain a safe environment for crew, subcontractors, and visitors to the construction site.

The role requires coordinating safety orientations, tracking incidents, and leading hazard analyses, with strong communication and leadership skills. Travel up to 100% and a valid driver’s license are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or related field.
• OR
• High school diploma, STS/CHST Certification, OSHA 30 Hour Training, and seven years construction safety experience.

Mansioni

• Implement and administer safety programs at each worksite.
• Assist project management in site-specific safety programs and activities.
• Attend, coordinate, and conduct safety orientation and training at the project level.
• Document and track safety violations and unsafe conditions.
• Conduct work area safety audits.
• Lead data collection and trend analyses for safety indicators.
• Assist with major incident analysis.
• Record and analyze safety statistics and OSHA reporting requirements.
