D.R. Horton is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the learning and execution of home construction management. The candidate will assist in supervising subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating inspections to guarantee home readiness.

This role requires strong communication, plan-reading ability, and customer-service focus, with potential for growth within a Fortune 500 company. Must be able to work on-site and travel between communities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months to 2 years of related construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license; willing to drive between sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to read plans and construction documents.
• Self-mufficient with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes daily to ensure workmanship quality and schedule conformity.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and walks for satisfaction.
• Assist in managing subcontractors regarding quality, safety, and costs.
• Enforce site safety and DR Horton cleanliness standards.
• Support schedule and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop positive relations with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Work overtime as needed to meet business needs.
