Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain CPM schedules for assigned construction projects. The role monitors schedule progression, explains variances, and prepares trend reports to support project outlooks.

You will collaborate with the preconstruction team to ensure clear communication of scheduling information, manage multiple projects, and guide optimal resource allocation to meet deadlines while maintaining scheduling standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing scheduling for commercial construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, handle a large workload, and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Lead others in complex, interrelated tasks and apply advanced analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CPM schedules for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with preconstruction team to ensure schedule clarity.
• Review schedule data and track progress against baseline.
• Evaluate feasibility and recommend efficient methods.
• Interface with customers to communicate status and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project team to ensure scheduling information is communicated.
• Analyze resource requirements and notify of constraints.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for status updates.
• Coordinate projects to keep plans achievable and current.
