Job summary

MP Nexlevel, LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist to conduct inspections, incident investigations, and safety training for construction sites across the United States. The role includes safety audits, reporting, and internal communications of safety concerns with company representation for OSHA matters as needed.

Responsibilities include developing safety programs, ensuring training per OSHA regs, advising on regulatory compliance, and assisting in claim management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years field safety experience.
• BS degree in Safety or Health related field desired.
• CUSP safety certification a plus.
• Knowledge of Workers Compensation and General Liability claim processes.
• Ability to communicate technical information to field personnel and executive management.
• Must be willing to travel nationwide.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies and work with others.
• Must be available to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Will assist in the development and implementation of safety programs/safety plans
• Ensure all construction personnel are properly trained in company safety requirements as well as basic OSHA regulations for construction
• Advises management regarding regulatory compliance with environmental, safety & health standards
• Conducts field audits, follow-up safety and hazard inspections of construction work sites
• Responds to emergency situations
• Assist in accident/incident investigations
• Makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and provides necessary safety training
• Safety training as required by position
• Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
• Conducts inspections to ensure subcontractor compliance with safety requirements
• Assist the Safety Director in claim management process (WC & GL) with appropriate insurance contacts
