Job summary

U.S. Engineering Construction is seeking a senior safety leader to oversee corporate safety and health programs across construction projects. You will provide guidance to project teams, ensure compliance with safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and at least five years of construction safety experience, with supervisory experience preferred. Travel to local/regional sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
• Minimum of 5 years of safety experience in construction or related field.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred, including oversight of safety training.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on construction safety standards and monitor safety programs.
• Provide leadership and guidance on safety policies; advise project leadership.
• Direct project safety efforts to ensure compliance with programs and policies.
• Collaborate with project management to guide field safety coordinators and staff.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new employee orientation.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions with operations leaders.
• Investigate safety incidents and communicate outcomes per procedures.
• Administer drug and alcohol testing programs for assigned projects.
• Serve as primary client contact for project-related safety matters.
