Job summary

U.S. Engineering is seeking a Safety Coordinator to uphold our core safety values and ensure programs are implemented across multiple job sites.

You will work under the Regional Safety Director to certify health and environmental policies are applied throughout operations. Responsibilities include coordinating orientation programs, conducting trainings, performing inspections, documenting incidents, and maintaining PPE inventories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or related area preferred.
• Up to 5 years of experience in mechanical construction industry preferred.
• MS Word and Excel knowledge; project management software a plus.
• Excellent ability to establish and foster effective professional relationships with others.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site-specific safety orientation programs.
• Conduct safety trainings (fall protection, man lift, forklift, PPE) and inspections.
• Perform proactive work area surveillance, air sampling, and incident investigations.
• Document accidents, safety violations and unsafe conditions; prepare reports.
• Ensure project site has safety supplies and PPE; accompany inspections when required.
• Assist regional Safety Director with best-practice recommendations.
