Turner Construction Company is seeking a Safety Education Specialist to train the project team on Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs and enforce safe work practices at our Boston-area job sites. You will educate Turner Trade employees and subcontractors, promote compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, and build strong safety relationships across the project team.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
• CHST certification required or within two years of appointment.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training and First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED certifications.
• Familiar with safety/environmental principles and regulations.
• Familiar with Federal, State, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to identify safety related exposures and propose corrective actions.

Responsabilidades

• Educate project team on EH&S programs and procedures and enforce safe work practices.
• Promote safe work practices in accordance with regulations and owner requirements.
• Build relationships with project team and subcontractor Safety representatives.
• Contribute to development of the overall project safety program.
• Enforce safety policies and implement corrective actions per regulations and owner requirements.
• Ensure pre-planning for subcontractor activities and tasks.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Hold pre-construction planning meetings to review site safety program and JHAs.
• Gather Pre-Task Plans and JHAs for subcontractors.
• Coordinate preconstruction meetings and ensure proper training for OSHA standards.
• Create safety reports, analyze metrics, and recommend improvements.
• Conduct safety meetings and issue minutes.
• Maintain logs of toolbox talks and safety reports.
• Conduct safety audits and address violations with subcontractors.
• Evaluate training needs and recommend improvements.
• Support reduction of Project Incident Rates and minimize regulatory exposure.
