The role requires hands-on leadership, weekly inspections, toolbox talks, subcontractor safety plan reviews, and strong documentation of safety metrics on ongoing projects. Frequent travel and compliance with safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction safety experience, including leadership.
• Formal safety training including OSHA 500 in construction industry.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently and operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day safety guidance and ensure compliance with laws and standards.
• Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct weekly safety inspections and daily safety walks.
• Lead toolbox talks and participate in safety meetings with field staff.
• Review subcontractor safety plans and project safety requirements.
• Maintain safety records, OSHA 300 log, incident reports, and SDSs.
• Order PPE and manage safety supplies and training documentation.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
