Job summary

Turner Construction Company’s Columbus Main division is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professional to lead site safety on a single construction project in Columbus, OH. You will enforce EH&S programs, train teams, and ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and owner requirements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in safety or engineering, minimum 4 years of construction safety experience, CHST certification (or within 2 years), OSHA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety/engineering and at least 4 years of construction safety experience.
• CHST certification within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training with First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local EH&S regulations.
• Ability to identify exposures and lead corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy.
• Manage time and resources and provide safety leadership.
• Assess safety practices, develop action plans to mitigate risks.
• Develop and deliver site-specific safety training.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review subcontractor safety programs and Pre-Task Plans.
• Conduct safety audits and report violations for resolution.
