Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an experienced Safety Representative for projects in the North Texas Area. The role supports the Safety Director by reviewing job site safety and ensuring a safe, accident-free environment, with oversight for safety systems and training for office and field personnel.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health (preferred), OSHA 500, and 2–5 years of construction safety experience. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health or related field preferred.
• OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• CMAR and preconstruction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather information to identify hazards and exposures on projects.
• Develop strategies to eliminate or control hazards.
• Create and deliver safety training for employees and supervisors.
• Maintain training records and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
• Attend safety meetings and conduct incident investigations when needed.
• Provide safety recommendations to management and field personnel.
• Lead safety communications and weekly project safety updates.
