Job summary

Turner Construction Company on a Port Washington, WI project seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety leader to enforce EH&S programs and regulatory compliance on a single construction project. You will educate crews and manage environmental and hazardous materials reporting and conditions.

Lead safety staffing, develop action plans, train subcontractors and Turner Trade employees, review Pre-Task Plans, and promote safe work practices. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field with at least 4 years of safety experience.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training and maintain First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local EH&S regulations.
• Ability to identify exposures and lead corrective actions.
• Travel required; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy and staffing requirements.
• Provide safety leadership and allocate time and resources to the project.
• Assess practices, mitigate risks, and drive improvements in safety awareness.
• Develop training for management, employees, subcontractors, and Turner Trade crews on EH&S programs.
• Review subcontractor safety programs and Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) for compliance.
• Collaborate with project leadership to create safety reports and assess metrics.
• Conduct safety audits and issue remediation reports for violations.
