The Safety Engineer at Hensel Phelps supports the safety manager and project team on construction projects across Southern California, applying safety policies, reviewing hazard analyses, and aiding in accident prevention and regulatory compliance.

This role balances field and office work, offering a comprehensive benefits package and COLA where applicable to support safety performance and continuous improvement on high‑stakes projects.

Qualifikationen

• A 4-year degree is preferred.
• Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Excel templates.
• Experience with Prolog, Primavera and Autodesk suites.

Aufgaben

• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders including Hensel Phelps staff and trade partners.
• Familiar with company safety and health program, owner requirements and regulatory standards (e.g., EM 385-1-1).
• Assist project superintendent in accident prevention plan maintenance and safety management tools.
• Participate in six-step safety process including activity hazard analyses and inspections.
• Conduct safety audits and manage project safety records.
