Job summary

C.A.C. Industries, Inc. in NYC is seeking a full-time Safety Coordinator to support both administrative and field safety operations from our Greenpoint office, with regular visits to NYC job sites.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in construction safety, knowledge of OSHA standards, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and excellent communication. Bachelor’s degree preferred; OSHA 30 preferred. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
• 1–2+ years construction safety experience, preferably heavy civil/utility.
• Knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• Familiarity with Job Hazard Analyses and Job Safety Analyses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative maintenance of project and corporate safety records, including inspections, safety forms, certifications, trainings, and reports.
• Track worker certifications, trainings, and credentials.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses with input from project teams.
• Help schedule safety trainings and record attendance.
• Assist with data entry, document preparation, filing, and recordkeeping.
• Visit job sites periodically to assess safety compliance.
• Assist Safety staff and project teams to follow up on corrective actions.
