Job summary

C.A.C. Industries, Inc. in New York City is seeking a full-time Safety Coordinator to support both administrative and field safety activities.

You will maintain safety records, track certifications, review job hazard analyses, schedule trainings, and visit job sites to verify compliance. Based in Greenpoint with regular site visits, the role requires detail orientation, teamwork with project staff, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• 1–2+ years of Construction Safety experience, preferably Heavy Civil and Utility.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• Familiarity with Job Hazard and Job Safety Analyses.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage large data sets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the administrative maintenance of project and corporate safety records (inspections, certifications, trainings, reports).
• Track worker certifications, trainings, and credentials.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses with input from project teams.
• Help schedule safety trainings and record attendance.
• Assist with data entry, document preparation, filing, and recordkeeping.
• Visit job sites periodically to assess compliance with safety protocols.
• Assist Safety staff and project teams with follow-up on corrective actions.
