Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects—heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements—with field inspectors reporting to you.

You will write the project quality control plan, run the three-phase control meetings, and own every test result and nonconformance the project produces. A valid driver's license, on-site presence, and travel are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• Certifications required include USACE CQM-C, ICC Special Inspector or NICET Level III.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
