Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large-scale projects, including heavy civil and federal work under USACE/NAVFAC requirements. You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase control meetings, and be the primary owner of test results and nonconformances.

You will supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with owner QA requirements on multi-phase projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
