Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements. You will supervise field inspectors and technicians and own the project quality control plan and NCR resolution.

You will chair three-phase control meetings, communicate with the owner's QA representative, and ensure all tests and nonconformances have documented

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency;
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work;
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians;
Assign daily coverage and review their reports;
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings;
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
