Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Quality Control Manager (QCM) to implement and manage the QC program across projects in Phoenix. The role coordinates several QC engineers and works with the PM and PS to resolve issues, ensuring safety and quality for stakeholders.

Responsibilities include leading QC start-up, maintaining the quality process log, reviewing reports, and coordinating testing with trade partners. A civil/structural construction background and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer software proficiency in MS Office, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process.
• Lead weekly QC meetings.
• Review inspection reports, punch lists, and close-in inspections.
• Coordinate and schedule site quality control activities with stakeholders.
• Interface with owner's QA and management on quality issues.
• Evaluate and develop QC personnel.
• Submit RFIs and coordinate third-party testing.
