Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I in Springfield, VA to oversee store development projects from pre-construction through warranty. You will manage bidding with GC's/CM's, contracts, budgets and schedule milestones, coordinating across Purchasing, Real Estate, A&E and Operations. Travel approximately 80% Monday-Thursday with Friday remote.

The role demands strong leadership, meticulous planning and the ability to drive projects to on-time openings for Food Lion and related brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; Preferred in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC's, CM's, subcontractors and suppliers on Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders and payment processing for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Oversee construction change authorization/change order process ensuring timely payments.
• Develop schedules, phase plans, milestones and monitor progress against these requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E and Operations for project handoffs and changes.
• Lead weekly project construction and operations meetings with vendors and internal partners.
