Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern to support construction site field and office activities. You will assist Resident Engineer, coordinate RFIs, pay estimates, and quality control inspections, and help maintain project documentation.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, performing basic calculations, and supporting testing coordination on projects nationwide, with opportunities in St. Louis and other listed locations. This internship offers hands-on exposure to construction management practices.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 2 years relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Basic math, plan reading, and knowledge of QA/QC practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Resident Engineer with project field and office tasks.
• Prepare agendas/minutes, track RFIs/submittals/pay estimates.
• Coordinate quality control inspections and testing
• Review contractor daily reports and field progress
• Read drawings, identify discrepancies, and support reporting
• Support use of new tech and GPS tools for inspection
