Job summary

HNTB is seeking current or former interns for on-site and office support during construction. You will assist the Resident Engineer, review drawings, and help manage RFIs, submittals, and pay estimates to ensure project progress aligns with plans and contracts.

Ideal candidates have an associates or bachelor’s in construction-related fields, strong math and MS Office skills, and prior exposure to construction documentation and field reporting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with relevant experience or a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or related field.
• Reads and interprets plans and specifications accurately.
• Calculates pay quantities and tracks changes or conditions affecting cost.
• Follows basic math and MS Office for project documentation and reporting.
• Maintains project documentation and control of contract records.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction site field and office support during construction.
• Prepare meeting agendas and minutes; track RFIs, submittals, pay estimates.
• Assist field tasks; ensure conformance to plans and specs.
• Coordinate quality control inspections and material testing.
• Review contractor daily reports and as-built markups for progress.
• Communicate with Resident Engineer and engineer of record on issues.
