Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Dallas, TX is seeking an intern to support construction site field and office activities during project execution. You will help prepare meeting materials, track RFIs and submittals, and assist the Resident Engineer with daily progress reports.

This role provides hands-on exposure to quantity calculations, drawing interpretation, quality inspections, and the use of digital construction tools, with mentorship and opportunities to learn GPS data capture on active projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a relevant field or current student pursuing construction management
• Proficiency with plan reading and basic math; ability to interpret drawings
• Familiarity with MS Office and document control processes
• NICET Level 1 or CMIT preferred (added credential)

Responsibilities

• Prepares meeting agendas and minutes, assists in processing RFIs, submittals, pay estimates, and other deliverables
• Assists with field work tasks to ensure conformance to plans and contracts
• Coordinates and schedules quality control inspections
• Observes on-site material testing and coordinates testing and monitoring services
• Performs basic quantity calculations for payments
• Reviews drawings and identifies discrepancies or conflicts
• Maintains project data, tracks progress via reports and photos
