Job summary

Valcourt Group in Livermore, CA is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple construction projects, coordinate drawings and specifications, set deadlines, procure materials, and monitor progress to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

You will prepare comprehensive bids, manage submittals, change orders, and keep owners and foremen aligned on schedule and quality. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand commercial plans, specs, and details.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and estimating software.
• Knowledge of construction plans, OSHA procedures, and waterproofing products.
• Ability to create comprehensive estimates.
• Self-motivated and organized; able to multi-task.
• Willingness to help create and uphold a company culture built on respect, self-improvement, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to ensure scopes are completed per standards and profitably.
• Operate and care for company equipment, vehicles, and small tools.
• Communicate with owners and consulting engineers to create comprehensive bids.
• Perform accurate take-offs.
• Collect current pricing from vendors.
• Ensure project details, materials, and scope clarifications are communicated for the Foreman and crew.
• Initiate submittal process and assist with required information after award.
• Ensure materials have a purchase order and complete related paperwork (change orders, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings).
• Conduct site visits to support the Foreman and update plans and owner expectations.
• Communicate scheduling needs and issues to the Foreman and ownership team.
• Finalize contracts at end of projects with warranties, close-out documents, and final inspections.
• Document substantial and final completion dates.
