Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes.
• Ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability across contractors, developers/landlords, vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Practical construction technology and methods.
• Experience developing, managing, and executing complex phased planning and construction schedules.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to assess construction risk and drive resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes with GC's/CM's and subcontractors for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Coordinate bid documents, RFQ packages and ensure timely, accurate bids.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, processing and payment of requisitions and invoices.
• Oversee Change Authorization/Change Order processes for Food Lion projects and ensure timely payments.
• Manage bid, contract and requisition approval processes for Food Lion projects.
• Oversee redline reviews of ARCH/MEP plans for accuracy and conformance.
• Provide value engineering feedback to Engineering on projects.
• Develop and implement cost-saving ideas and construction methods to save time and money.
• Plan new store, expansion and remodel projects with detailed phase plans and milestones.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Refrigeration, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E, Operations and other stakeholders.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure timely completion and adherence to prototypes and lease requirements.
