Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee planning, procurement, scheduling, and execution for assigned construction projects. You will lead the project team, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality. The role requires a strong client focus and capability to deliver predictable outcomes.

The full salary range is $120,000 to $165,000 with eligibility for a target bonus. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of commercial construction experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Preferably 5+ years in commercial construction.
• Understanding estimating concepts to verify bids and process change orders.
• Knowledge of contractual language and construction laws.
• Understanding building codes, plans, blueprints, and specs.
• Strong teamwork and delegation skills.
• Effective verbal and written presentations.

Responsibilities

• Champions The Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Assists in preparing estimates and project budgets.
• Leads the project team in developing the PMP and conducts pre-award/pre-construction meetings.
• Negotiates change orders and manages cost and profit impact.
• Develops monthly client pay requests and tracks collections.
• Oversees procurement, scheduling, and site safety and quality plans.
• Manages project close-out, as-builts, and final documentation.
