Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Dallas-based intern to assist in day-to-day supervised activities for a construction project, gaining foundational knowledge in management, safety, and lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities include supporting meetings, material tracking, and reporting while applying classroom learning to real project tasks and developing professional relationships on site.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university degree program or Co-op, with minimum 1 year completed education.
• Must be 18 years or older to work at a construction site.
• Desire to work in construction management and learn about the industry.
• Commitment to standard business hours and potential overtime.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills including leadership or volunteer involvement.
• Clear verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, and progress reporting.
• Follow project site signage and supervisor instructions.
• Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn about construction management.
• Relate academic knowledge to job activities and maintain professional relationships.
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
• Support with project start-up activities and QA for submittals and RFIs.
• Assist with communication to Architects, Engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
