Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Houston invites an enthusiastic student to join as an Intern/Co-Op on an active project site. You'll gain hands-on exposure to construction management, safety protocols, and coordination with subcontractors.

Under supervision, you will assist with meetings, document control, progress reporting, RFIs, shop drawings, and preparation of estimates for changes, while applying classroom knowledge to real-world tasks and earning academic credit where applicable.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in college; Co-op eligible; 1 year completed.
• Must be 18+ to work on a construction site.
• Willingness to learn construction management and safety.
• Ability to work standard business hours with overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, doc control, and progress reporting.
• Support project team and follow supervisor instructions on site.
• Attend site visits and observe construction field activities.
• Relate academic knowledge to work activities on site.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Assist with safety protocol adherence and PPE.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
