Job summary

Rudolph & Sletten, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Los Angeles or Irvine, CA office. The role supports Project Manager and Superintendent in organizing, scheduling, and recording all construction activities on major projects, with a focus on submittals, RFIs, and field coordination.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least 1 year of field experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction/site management.
• Proficiency with Excel and basic scheduling/estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with organizing, scheduling, and recording activities.
• Attend weekly meetings and transcribe detailed minutes accurately.
• Review designs/drawings for fabrication and installation of materials.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings for contract compliance.
• Coordinate submittals between subcontractors and consultants; support field design changes.
• Support cost control, close-out logs, and field documentation.
