Job summary

Rudolph & Sletten, a Tutor Perini Company, in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and documenting construction activities for large commercial projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management and at least five years of experience, with proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and MS Office. Prior work on healthcare/education campuses is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in the field or related area.
• Experience with large commercial projects; healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, science & technology desired.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and lead coordination meetings with subcontractors and design teams.
• Inspect construction site daily and manage subcontractors to contract documents.
• Participate in job walks to document work performed and report findings for status updates.
• Coordinate all submittals between subcontractors.
• Review designs and drawings for crafts installing materials and qualifications.
• Review all types of Submittals and Shop Drawings for contract compliance.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems and raise RFIs as needed.
• Initiate and process RFIs and monitor responses for completeness.
• Understand and manage the PCO change order process and submit to owner.
• Manage Submittals, RFIs, Close Out, Punch List, and project logs.
• Identify risks and communicate with stakeholders; train staff on document control processes.
• Prepare and disseminate status reports and related documentation to supervisors.
