Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support routine construction and field execution on our projects in Charlotte, NC. You will participate in general construction management, punch lists, self-perform work and learn the building process within JE Dunn's standards.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, cost control and collaboration with foremen, subcontractors and project teams to deliver on schedule and budget. Travel and non-traditional hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in construction projects and understanding of QA/QC processes.
• Familiarity with lean construction principles and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plan adherence on projects.
• Assists with estimates, schedules, work plans and daily logs.
• Pre-plans crew activities and supports project superintendent.
• Manages subcontractor scope of work and coordinates with internal teams.
• Maintains project documentation, reports and close-out activities.
• Supports training and mentoring less experienced teammates.
