Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer 2 to support routine construction activities and supervise a crew on site. You will work under supervision, reinforce safety practices, and align with the company’s Lean construction initiatives.

This role emphasizes self-perform work, planning, and collaboration with foremen, journeymen, and subcontractors. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of construction experience and a background in construction management or engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years construction experience required.
• 0-2 years construction supervision experience preferred.
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Works with tools and self-performs work as part of a crew.
• Plans, executes and reports self-perform work.
• Pre-plans crew activities and updates supervisor.
• Assists with planning meetings and look-aheads.
• Coordinates with superintendent and other trades to meet project needs.
