Job summary

Orion is seeking a Construction Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to meet timeframes and funding targets. The role involves collaboration with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure drawings, specifications, and schedules are aligned.

Beyond technical duties, the candidate will maintain logs, monitor costs, prepare management reports, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management preferred.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others.
• Experience in commercial concrete construction or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and perform in high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of pre-job meetings (plans, budgets, scheduling).
• Assist Project Manager in managing all assigned jobs.
• Review and process shop drawings and submittals for accuracy vs drawings/specs.
• Distribute drawing revisions to PMs, supers and subcontractors; request new drawings as needed.
• Price drawing revisions and Field Extra Work Tickets; update drawing log.
• Maintain the RCO log and PM Submittal Log for each project.
• Keep project schedules updated; document delays (weather, GC, suppliers).
• Order and ensure timely delivery of materials (rebar, shoring, forming).
• Regularly contact Superintendents and visit job sites to identify issues and solutions.
• Approve sand code assigned invoices; track man-hours and job costs weekly.
• Meet with Superintendents to target cost to complete under budget.
• Assist Project Managers with End of Month Financial Reports and project reports.
• Coordinate project activities with government/regulatory agencies.
