Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to support Project Managers on mechanical construction projects. You will assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution, coordinating subcontractors and stakeholders, and tracking progress to keep leadership informed.

The role emphasizes on-site collaboration, cost tracking, and documentation management, with opportunities for growth in a structured, mentorship‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 1+ year of mechanical contracting or commercial, civil, or industrial construction experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Track project progress and provide updates to project leadership.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, drawing logs, and project documentation.
• Assist with purchase orders, subcontract setup, and change order management.
• Conduct jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, and progress.
• Support labor tracking, cost coding, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Coordinate project meetings and prepare agendas and documentation.
• Review drawings, specs, schedules, and contracts.
