Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus at least four years' related construction experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and BIM/LEAN tools.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Acting as liaison with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors and Owner's Representatives to resolve issues.
• Overseeing and interpreting contract drawings and subcontract information to ensure alignment with the estimate.
• Managing the project budget and submittals/shop drawings.
• Negotiating Change Orders and managing information on changes in the Work.
• Overseeing close-out: RFIs, warranties, as-builts, O&Ms, attic stock and spare parts.
• Supervising Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns; contributing to performance appraisals.
• Preparing Scope of Work documents for trades.
• Developing reports on General Conditions items, labor, safety, Change Orders and Quality Control.
• Scheduling and coordinating subcontractor meetings, preconstruction meetings and submittal reviews.
