Job summary

Conservation Corps of Long Beach in Signal Hill, CA, seeks a Project Coordinator to support landscape construction and capital projects. You will manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, billing, and project communications from preconstruction through closeout, split between office and field.

Under the Senior Project Manager, you will assist with budgets, schedules, and documentation, mentor Corpsmembers, and coordinate with clients, inspectors, and partners to ensure quality work and on-time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of experience in construction, landscaping, project coordination, or office administration.
• Some college coursework or a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus.
• Interest in learning construction administration (RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, project closeout).
• Proficiency with basic computer tools and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and track RFIs, and coordinate with designers, clients, and field staff.
• Prepare and track shop drawings, product data, and samples for plans/specs compliance.
• Prepare change order requests with cost backup and track approvals.
• Prepare schedules of values, monthly pay applications, and invoices; track payments and retention.
• Write clear, professional emails, letters, and meeting minutes; respond to inquiries promptly.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts; keep RFI, submittal, and change order logs current.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, DigAlert, and track insurance, bonds, subcontractor paperwork, and wage reporting.
• Manage punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, O&M manuals, and final inspections.
