Job summary

The Conservation Corps of Long Beach seeks a Senior Construction Project Coordinator to support construction administration from preconstruction through closeout. You will learn budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, billing, and project correspondence while mentoring Corpsmembers on the job.

This role is split between the office and field sites; you’ll coordinate with clients and inspectors, ensure safety, monitor progress, and help deliver multiple green infrastructure projects

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in construction, landscaping, project coordination, or office administration.
• Interest in learning construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and closeout.
• Basic computer skills including email, Word, and Excel.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable splitting time between office and active job sites.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• First Aid/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• RFIs: Prepare, submit, and track RFIs with timely responses from designers, clients, and field staff.
• Submittals: Prepare and track shop drawings, product data, and samples.
• Change orders: Prepare change orders with cost backup and obtain approvals.
• Billing: Prepare schedules of values, monthly pay applications, and invoices.
• Correspondence: Write clear emails, letters, and meeting minutes.
• Documents and logs: Review plans, specs, and contracts; maintain logs.
• Permits and compliance: Coordinate permits, inspections, DigAlert, insurance, bonds.
• Closeout: Manage punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, and final inspections.
