Qualifications

• 1–3 years of recent professional experience in project or construction.
• BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• Knowledge of construction management procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support to the Construction Manager.
• Coordinate with District staff, contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, consultants and other construction support staff.
• Participate in, and occasionally run, design or construction meetings.
• Perform field checks on construction to ensure compliance with plans, standards, and DSA requirements.
• Read and interpret construction plans and shop drawings.
• Assist in preparing written materials including correspondence, reports, procedures, and guidelines.
• Support development of weekly/monthly status and photo reports for project team.
• Review, estimates, negotiates, and processes construction change orders and construction field orders.
• Review and enforce construction and professional services contracts.
