Job summary

The Conservation Corps of Long Beach (CCLB) is seeking a Project Manager to lead public works and park construction projects, overseeing journeyman level carpentry, masonry, irrigation, and related tasks. You will estimate costs, supervise crews and subcontractors, manage permits, and report progress to sponsors and leadership.

Reporting to the Director of Conservation Programs, you will ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while aligning with CCLB’s mission to develop at-risk youth

Qualifications

• Journey level carpentry experience including masonry, irrigation, grading or related skills.
• Proficiency with reading and interpreting construction drawings and specs.
• Ability to supervise crews of corpsmembers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate crews on public works and park construction projects.
• Review bids, prepare estimates, schedules, and work plans.
• Maintain safety and compliance with plans, permits, and regulations.
• Communicate with sponsors, project managers and suppliers to manage progress and costs.
