Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and contract packages to ensure timely approvals.
- Monitor project financial health by tracking production quantities, cost codes, and vendor proposals using industry-standard software like HCSS/HeavyJob.
- Maintain accurate project records, including drawing logs, as-builts, and revision history to support project transparency.
- Coordinate essential site logistics such as permit acquisition, utility locates, and material deliveries to keep projects on schedule.
- Collaborate with field superintendents to develop and update look-ahead schedules that align with budgetary constraints.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify field data, troubleshoot plan discrepancies, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive closeout packages and final documentation to ensure successful project completion and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam for document control and plan review.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex civil plans, utility drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Effective communication skills to bridge the gap between office staff, field crews, and external vendors.
- Valid driver's license and ability to navigate active construction environments safely.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in infrastructure or heavy civil construction.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Prior experience with HCSS/HeavyJob or similar construction cost-tracking software.
