Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Field Construction Manager to support EPC projects across industries. You will assist with safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, procurement, and field-based activities to execute projects.

This role emphasizes project controls, reporting, documentation, turnover, and client interface, with responsibilities spanning RFPs, subcontracts, invoicing, and closeout. Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is required or comparable experience.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
• Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, and field activities.
• Support client interface, procurement, turnover, and documentation tasks.
• Assist with RFP development, bid processes, and scope of work documents for downstream contracts.
• Contribute to project controls, including cost reporting, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Prepare internal and external reports and assist with project closeout.
