The role you’ll contribute:

Today, more than four decades later, Florida Hospital Tampa continues to offer innovative medicine as we elevate health care in the Tampa Bay region.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Creates and maintains accurate, organized and complete project files to include all documents required for project approvals as well as to sustain internal, local, state, and federal regulatory compliance.
  • Works closely with Contractors, Design Consultants and other professionals in order to coordinate all construction activities, to include review of existing conditions, scheduling, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Provides coordination for and evaluation of the work of subcontractors on multiple jobs.
  • Conducts meetings between the owner, architect and contractor and shares essential information with the hospital’s clinical and operations staff.
  • Reads, interprets, and provides informed critique of drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinates receiving and storage of project supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinates contractor’s work regarding utility interruptions, traffic control, safety, and infection prevention.
  • Coordinates transmittal and documentation and retention of plans, contracts, construction change directives, and other related communications with hospital personnel, contractors, and architects.
  • Manages the close out and commissioning of projects to include OEM, staff training, as-built drawings, warranty escrow, and compliance with all contractual requirements of contractors and architects.
  • Manages the staff responsible for the maintenance of all rented and leased properties.
  • Inspects suites to verify appropriate maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to support smooth and efficient operations of the Hospital’s Engineering and Safety functions.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Five years’ construction project management experience or
  • BS in Construction Management or other construction related field.
