Job summary

Probst Electric Inc. in Caldwell, Idaho, is seeking an experienced Project Controller to oversee the financials of a large data center construction project.

You will manage budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting in collaboration with Project Managers and the Finance team. This role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field, 3–5 years in project accounting, and proficiency with SAP or JDE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in project accounting, construction finance, or project cost control.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with high-voltage transmission & distribution construction projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting & forecasting: develop and manage project budgets and cost breakdowns.
• Cost tracking & analysis: monitor costs and provide variance analysis.
• Financial & progress reporting: generate detailed financial reports and track schedule performance.
• Contract & change order management: review contracts and process change orders.
• Risk management & compliance: identify financial risks and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaboration & communication: work with PMs, site supervisors, and finance teams.
