Probst Electric Inc., a proud subsidiary of Quanta Services, LLC, seeks a Staff Accountant to join the Caldwell, Idaho finance team. Reporting to the Controller, you will support month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for our construction operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Prior construction industry accounting experience preferred.
• Experience supporting JD Edwards is preferable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger and cost accounting functions in support of construction operations
• Reconcile bank accounts and other general ledger accounts—collaborate with departments to resolve discrepancies
• Support preparation and filing of required federal, state, and local tax forms
• Execute month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation
• Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and cross-departmental workflow
