Job summary

Hardy Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Accounting Coordinator to manage contract billing, maintain accurate job cost records, and oversee AR collections for our construction projects.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership and communicating effectively with Project Managers and customers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, contract billing, and collections.
• Strong understanding of billing processes, accounts receivable aging, and collection procedures.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly contract billing for all active construction projects, ensuring invoices are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
• Review project billing status, under-billings, and outstanding receivables to identify potential concerns.
• Support monthly accounting close by ensuring billing, contract values, change orders, and job cost information are accurate and current.
• Identify discrepancies and work with Project Managers and Accounting to resolve them.
• Monitor aging reports and maintain a company-wide Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) target below 50 days.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, and Project Managers to resolve billing disputes and delays.
