Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking an experienced Associate, Project Accounting to support our accounting team and project management processes. You will handle hands-on job cost accounting for multiple projects, including subcontractor AP processing, client invoicing, and budgeting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2–5 years in construction or project-related accounting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2-5 years construction or project-related accounting desired.
• Ability to multi task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; exposure to ERP systems or similar software.
• JD Edwards experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on job cost accounting for multiple projects, including Subcontractor AP processing, client invoicing, and budgeting.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of all costs related to each project.
• Collaborate with Project Management to provide direction and support as needed.
• Communicate and enforce project accounting policies and procedures.
• Monitor projects from a risk management perspective and escalate issues as needed.
