Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Construction Manager to provide fully qualified management of program construction activities in a fast-paced professional environment. The role emphasizes coordination with owners, contractors, and design teams to ensure schedule, cost, and quality controls are met.

Responsibilities include developing schedules, monitoring progress, reviewing documents, and ensuring safety compliance. A bachelor’s degree and at least five years of CM experience are required, with OSHA/MSHA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience.
• OSHA and MSHA training and certifications are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily onsite construction activities with owner, contractors, design professionals, clients and external parties.
• Develops project schedules, coordinates work to approved schedules, reports deviations and recommends schedule modifications.
• Reports deviations from contract documents and codes and follows through to resolution.
• Schedules and coordinates reviews and inspections.
• Maintains records of activities including work completed and inspected.
• Reports to the project team on construction status, issues, and concerns.
• Ensures progress meets cost, schedule and quality standards.
• Reviews plans, specs, RFIs, submittals, schedules, shop drawings and pay apps (QA/QC).
• Prepares final documentation for closeout and maintains project files.
